I normally leave my braids in for 6 to 8 weeks  (that's with tightening them once a month). As a professional braider, while transitioning from relaxed to natural you to give your natural hair extra attention, to stimulate hair growth for better results during your process.  so this will decrease and eliminate hair lost by not leaving braids extensions too long.
